Psych 2: Lassie Come Home (2020)

Updated: Jul 17, 2020

This movie had me saying, “This is amazing!” through the entire thing. It was absolutely delightful! The pure Psych-ness was great and developed the characters, pushing their lives forward, while also staying true to who they are fundamentally. The various references to other shows that the cast had been involved in were hilarious and welcome. They also managed to get back some fan favorites in the cast along with a new slew of amazing guest stars, which were an incredible surprise. The whole premise of Lassie’s recovery contributed to this and led to some really sweet moments. And without giving any more away, overall, this film left open a welcome attitude for a third Psych movie! It also included many references to the previous one, so I would definitely recommend double featuring them to get the most out of your first viewing (or 23rd).

P.S. If you get the chance to pause on Lassiter’s list, I recommend reading it, there are some truly great gems on there.
