Van Helsing (2004)

This film had its fun fantasy moments, but overall feels like it is trying to do too much, which allows the film to feel a bit jumbled and forced. There were so many different storylines there wasn’t any time for character development. None of the actions from the characters at the end felt earned. This film does have its place and was well-intentioned. I think if you don’t take this movie super seriously you could still have fun watching it, but overall, it just felt like it was biting off more than it could chew within its runtime.
